I've been MIA lately ~ wedding season has hit hard this year! I couldn't wait to share a picture of this Seattle Seahawks garter set I recently finished for a former co-worker's mom who is getting married this summer. As a Seattle native, I've always loved making Seahawks garters, especially in the team's vintage colors. Making this set was bittersweet though ~ I can no longer get the charms in vintage colors, so this set is the last of its kind. I hope Marge and her new groom enjoy it!

Bride Angela recently wed University of Minnesota alum Andy, and the Golden Gophers garter set she selected was the perfect accessory for their big day! The couple, who love Gopher football, had a destination wedding in the Dominican Republic, but had a reception back home at TCF Bank Stadium, which is where the Gopher football team plays. I just love the shots photographers Scott and Jen Elder captured!

Bride Heather chose a University of Tennessee Volunteers garter for her 2013 wedding to Drew. Drew went to the University of Tennessee and is still a huge Vols fan, so this garter was the perfect surprise! Super Bowl XLIX Rival Garters ~ Seattle Seahawks vs New England Patriots

Bride Tracy chose a Thin Blue Line wedding garter for her wedding to her long-time love, Matthew ~ it was the perfect choice as Matthew works with the local K-9 unit and Tracy works for the D.A. Custom Garters | Bethany's Ballet Wedding Garter Set

I always love making garters for people I know, and this design was especially meaningful for me as I have danced all my life. It was a custom request from my supervisor at the day job I quit as my business grew ~ she ordered as a gift for her daughter-in-law-to-be, Bethany, who owns a dance studio with her mother. We did the garters in Bethany's wedding colors, and found beautiful ballet slipper charms to add to both the keepsake and toss garters.

Real Weddings | Sarah's Firefighter Wedding Garter

Bride Sarah just shared these fun pictures from her recent wedding to a firefighter. In her own words: "My firefighter husband thought this garter was a nice touch to our wedding. His response when he saw the photographer's photos was "What?! I threw that away!?" At the time of the removal, he didn't notice the emblem and I had kept it a surprise. I laughed, and told him not to worry ~ the garter came in a matching set, so we have one to save as a keepsake!"
